Surveen Chawla To Work With Rajeev Khandelwal In ALTBalaji’s New Show 'Haq Se'

ALTBalaji, Balaji Telefilm’s OTT platform, will release a new show, ‘Haq Se’. For this web series, Ekta Kapoor is bringing back popular stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Surveen Chawla in the lead roles of Naushad Rizvi and Meherunissa Mirza.

Set in Kashmir, ‘Haq Se’ is a captivating story of four sisters named Meher, Jannat, Bano and Amal. The series explores their ambition and how are they bowed down by the rising spectre of fundamentalism in the region. ‘Haq Se’ is directed by by Ken Ghosh who has made quite a few web shows and is know for films such as ‘Amit Sahni Ki List’ and ‘Phir Se’. ‘Haq Se’ will feature other actors such as Simone Singh (Fatima Khala), Karanveer Sharma (Raghu Thapar), Parul Gulati (Jannat Mirza), Aanchal Sharma (Bahira Mirza), Nikeesha Rangwal (Amal Mirza), Pavail Gulati (Tabish Azad), Neelu Kohli (Rabiyah Mirza) and Waqar Sheikh (Salam Baig).

The ad-free, subscription- based platform is available in over 75 countries, catering to the need of Indians and Indian diaspora spread across the globe. It is also offering content in various Indian regional languages. ALTBalaji is planning to offer 32 shows across genres like romance, mystery, drama, thriller and comedy.

Recently, the platform launched its first Bengali show ‘Dhimaner Dinkaal’. The OTT platform is planning to launch shows like ‘Maya Thirrai’, ‘Ragini MMS 2.2’, [XXXXX]’, ‘Selfiewali PM’, ‘Judaai’, ‘Punchbeat’, ‘Bose’, ‘Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai’, ‘Broken’, ‘Kapoors’, ‘Four Play’, ‘Girlgiri’, ‘Bandhan’, ‘Home’, ‘Vanity Fair’, ‘Mehrunisa’, ‘Cover Girl’, ‘EK Bhoot’, ‘The Mirza Girls’, ‘Dysfunctional’, ‘Mafia’, ‘Mangalyaan’ and ‘Kali’. Since its launch on 16 April, ALTBalaji has registered over five million downloads and paying subscribers from 75+ countries.

The countries include the US, Canada, UK, Australia, the Far East and UAE. ALTBalaji’s current line-up includes ‘Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat’, ‘DevDD’, ‘Boygiri’, ‘Bewafaa Sii Wafaa’, ‘Romil and Jugal’, ‘Class of 2017’ and ‘Cyber Squad’.
