Proud Moment! Gurujas Kaur Khalsa Wins Grammy Award For Her Chants In ‘Mystic Mirror’

Grammy Award is really a dream for every singer and this precious dream is realised by Gurujas Kaur Khalsa who won the prestigious award at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.

The singer received a Grammy award for Best New Age Album for Mystic Mirror. The album includes an integral part of Shabad from Guru Granth Sahib chanted by Khalsa. The three artistes - Adam Berry, Gurujas and Harijiwan appeared on the stage at the Grammy awards decked in their signature white outfits. While on stage, Gurujas said: “Thank you so much to the Academy; I’m going to cry. Thank you to everyone who helped create this album, thank you to our producers. Standing with you guys is such a privilege and honour. With that comes more responsibility to bring love and kindness to Planet Earth.”

WHO IS GURUJAS KAUR KHALSA?

To tell you a little about Gurujas Kaur Khalsa, the singer is also a teacher based in Los Angeles practising Yogini and a lead singer of the music group ‘White Sun’. Her songs are inspired by Kundalini Yoga teachings. White Sun’s 2022 release Mystic Mirror reached number one on Billboard and iTunes and gained a massive following due to its unique musical style. She has been a teacher for several years and has participated in numerous, extensive teacher trainings. She lives in the United States and travels all over the world to provide training. She studies with her guru Harijiwan, who is also a Grammy winner for a new age album.

The album involves significant Shabad, or chants, from the holy book of Guru Granth Sahib, and its popularity is growing by the day.
