Ace fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla are known for their class apart fashion which exhibits their pure love for art and culture.

Now, recently, both launched their first campaign for the year 2023 which turn the spotlights to the Punjabi traditional dance form, Giddha.

Making a difference, the dance form which is associated with women, the duo, in their unique proclivity captured the exuberance of the dance form by focusing on the male giddha group Lok Rang Noor Art led by dancer Noor Zora. Calling it ‘The Clap of Celebration’, the post was captioned as, “Giddha performers often dance without any musical instruments and compose a breath-inspired rhythm to sing and move their feet. Pairing their songs with melodious clapping, their presence infuses the room with a magical energy that is so reminiscent of the north Indian state. Khosla who himself is a Punjabi calls it an ‘undeniable’ part of the culture. Their exuberant dancing, rhythmic clapping and spontaneous singing were a feast for the senses. They wore salwar kameez, embroidered dupattas, maang tikkas and parandas. The jewellery jingled while they sang and danced. Their movement inspired the power of community and sense of celebration in a whirlwind of colour,” he reminisces while talking to a leading fashion magazine. Also Read : Psst! While talking about Noor Zora, he addresses him as an exceptional artist who is passionate about keeping giddha alive by evolving the art form and forming a group of like-minded men who are supremely confident to dress and dance as women. He is a game changer.”
