Punjabi Singer Ashok Mastie’s Mother Passes Away!
Indian singer Ashok Mastie shared a heartbreaking news on his social media today. The singer shared the news of his mother’s death and details about the antim ardas. His mother, Mansa Devi breathed her last on April 10, 2022.
In the post, shared by Ashok Mastie, the timing and venue for the bhog are mentioned. While the singer himself has kept quiet and just put up two praying hands, in his mother’s memory, as the caption, many other friends have extended their condolences in the comments below. For the unversed, Mastie is an Indian playback singer known for songs like ‘Khadke Glassy’ which he sang alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh. Mastie began his journey by performing on small stages in small towns. He then started doing concerts for the north cultural zone. Around the same time, he started doing concerts for Punjabi Academy, New Delhi. From Chandigarh, he started waving the audience in New Delhi, which made him settle in New Delhi. Performing in numerous concerts in India and abroad, Mastie has created a niche for himself in the world of music.
In April 2020, Mastie released a song 'Hausla Na Chhadin' which featured 31 artists alongside him including Mika Singh, Daler Mehndi, Jasbir Jassi and Gurpreet Guggi, who came together on one platform to help motivate the nation in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
