The actor turned activist Deep Sidhu is yet again in the news for his disrespectful comment regarding the Valmiki and Ravidas communities.
On October 1, Sidhu did a live video on his Facebook page in which he along with five other people was heard making derogatory and casteist remarks against certain SC/ST castes. Also Read: Do You Know Binnu Dhillon Has Also Featured In Bollywood Movies!
The case was registered following a complaint by Jassi Talhan, head of the Guru Ravidas Tiger Force at the Navi Baradari police station on Tuesday. Talhan and the other community members have demanded the immediate arrest of Deep Sidhu.

The original video with the comments has been removed, however, on October 3, Sidhu posted another video in which he was seen apologizing and clarifying his intent and words. He could be heard saying, “Yesterday when I went to the Kisan Morcha, the elders sitting there said some words which somehow manifest caste and creed. I have clarity on these topics since the first day just like our Gurus taught us that there should be no discrimination based on caste. Those words that the elders used brought up these things and I even tried to stop them but I wasn’t successful. Sidhu first came into the limelight for the violence at the Red fort this year on Republic Day and then for his comment about the dying farmers not being martyrs for the community.
