The Punjabi film ‘Shooter’ was banned by the Haryana government from screening in the theatres.
The film produced by Ranjit Singh and directed by Dilsher Singh and Kuspal Singh, is based on the life of Sukha Kahlon, a Gangster, contract-killer, sharpshooter, and robber at the time. The District Magistrate, Vikram Singh has directed SP Ambala, all SDMs of the district, cinema hall managers and all cable operators to ensure compliance with the orders. According to the authorities, the screening of the movie might promote gangster and gun culture and thus, will negatively influence the impressionable minds of teenagers and youth, thus they have banned the exhibition of the film.
The film is not yet released and still it is facing so many controversies!
