Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh was fined by Mohali Police on Thursday, 16th September 2021, in sector 70. The reason being provided is the usage of black film on his Ford Endeavour SUV, which bears an Uttar Pradesh registration number.
The ‘Gallan Mithiyan’ singer is known for his upbeat songs in the Punjabi industry. Aulakh, who began his career in 2013 with the song ‘Darshan Karke’, which was a collaboration with DJ Sanj. Coming back to the topic at hand, apparently, Aulakh was not present in the car but he reached the spot in a Mahindra Scorpio soon after. His brother was the one who was driving the vehicle and even after pleading with the police officer to remove the fine, he was charged with Rs. 1000.
According to the traffic inspector Surinder Singh, Aulakh even started to name higher-ranking officers to show his reach but Singh did not waiver. Did you know that Aulakh had another run-in with the traffic police before this? In May 2020, Aulakh’s Mercedes was impounded by the Chandigarh Police near Sector 48 for playing loud music in the car.
The person driving at that time, Samrit Singh Sandhu, even failed to produce any document related to the vehicle when it was stopped, leading to the police seizing the vehicle.
