Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has donated Rs. 2 crores for Covid care centre at Rakab Ganj Gurudwara in Delhi. The facility opens today i.e., on Monday. Reportedly, it will have 300 beds, oxygen concentrators, doctors, paramedics and ambulances. All the services will be provided free of cost. The updates of the same were shared by the president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management committee Manjinder Singh Sirsa on his Twitter account.
Manjinder told that all beds have oxygen supply and the facility has a backup of 150 D-type cylinders with all the essential drugs, including Remdesivir and Fabiflu, used in the treatment of COVID-19. He has also informed that the COVID care centre is being managed by 50 doctors from the Delhi government-run Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital which will be supported by a team of 150 nurses and ward boys.
"Patients who need up to 20 litres per minute of oxygen can be treated here," he futher added. Amitabh Bachchan making the donation for covid center was also shared by Sirsa. In fact, Amitabh Bachchan also shared a 2.8-minute video on his Twitter handle directly from the Vax Live event. He has requested the world to come forward to help India in fight against the ongoing deadly pandemic.
