Popular Bhajan Singer Narendra Chanchal Passes Away At The Age Of 80

Veteran singer Narendra Chanchal popularly known for his religious songs and hymns has passed away at the age of 80. He was admitted to Apollo hospital in Delhi. The news of his sudden demise has left his fans in shock. As per sources, he took his last breath at around 12:15 today and the probable reason for his death was prolonged illness due to his old age. Tributes started pouring in as soon as the news of the veteran singer's death broke open on social media. Indian film director, script writer, and producer, Madhur Bhandarkar wrote on Twitter, "Saddened to hear demise of Singer #NarendraChanchal ji , He will be remembered for his bhajans and some remarkable songs in Hindi films, My heartfelt condolences to his admirers and family. Om Shanti'' whereas Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh tweeted, "Deeply saddened to learn that iconic and most loved #NarendraChanchal ji has left us for the heavenly abode. In prayers for his soul to rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to his family." Sharing his photograph with the veteran singer, famous singer, Master Saleem took to his Twitter account and wrote, 'Alvida Narender Chanchal ji'. Chanchal is known for his famous religious songs like, "Chalo bulaava aaya hai", "Bhor Bhai din chad gaya" and several others. Not just the religious songs Chanchal has gained appreciation for his Bollywood songs also. In 1974, he won the Filmfare best playback singer award  for Bobby.
