Aamir Khan's turbanned look recently got leaked on social media and went viral in no time. While many appreciated the fact that he looks every bit like an original Sikh man, there were others who compared him to Akshay Kumar and bashed the latter for his fake beard in Kesari.
Aamir's look from this film has gathered worldwide appreciation from the Sikh community who have acknowledged the fact that he's worked towards creating his character close to originality rather than making fun of Sikhs by wearing readymade turbans and shaven facial hair.
Now, the team has released the official poster of the film with Aamir as Laal Singh Chaddha who is seen wearing a pink turban with a long open beard. The look features Laal Singh traveling in a train, a sign of his ordinariness that precedes the story. The more revealing part of the poster is the sweet box that Khan's character is holding. It is the setup to Forrest Gump's iconic line, "Mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get:
Aamir is known for shapeshifting into different looks for his films, which is also a reason why he's called Mr.Perfectionist. A remake of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks, Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions.
The film is set to release on Christmas weekend in 2020.
