After Jazzy B's recent demand for an apology from Gurdas Maan, a fresh update has just come our way. A fresh complaint has been registered against Gurdas Maan for alleged breach of contract by not turning up at the Durga puja pandal in Kolkata for performance.
On October 6, the Durga puja committee made a pandal on the theme of Shri Darbar Sahib and have claimed that Maan was briefed about the pandal theme well in advance.
But, on reaching Kolkata, Maan decided to not get out of the airport and took a flight back, thereby canceling his performance at the last moment. The reason which he gave read that the visitors thronged the pandal, which was set up on the theme of Amritsar's Golden Temple, bareheaded and wearing shoes, thus hurting sentiments of the Sikh community.
It is worth mentioning here that during the same time when Maan landed at the Kolkata airport, he faced strong protests by the Punjabi community in Kolkata, which could also be a reason for him taking a flight back from there itself.
Now, as per reports, it is understood that Mann was paid a sum of 6 lakhs as advance which has to be returned to the Puja Committee. The singer has sought time till Wednesday to return the amount (surprising that he's taking time to return such a petty sum when he's got so much at his disposal!)
