Sidhu Moosewala has been facing a serious backlash after his recent song 'Jatti Jeone Morh Di Bandook Wargi' hit the internet. The use of Sikh martyr Mai Bhago's reference in the song has not gone down well with the religious groups and sever protests have been happening against the singer and his family.
Amidst this row, a Gidderbaha-based advocate has filed a complaint in the court against Moosewala for using the name of Mata Bhag Kaur (Mai Bhago) in the song ‘Jatti Jeone Morh Di Bandook Wargi’. In the complaint, complainant Kuljinder Singh said that after watching the song on YouTube, his religious sentiments were hurt.
Adv Singh has sought a case against Sidhu Moosewala under Sections 295-A and 509 of the IPC. The matter will be taken up before the court on September 30.
This has come just a day after SGPC demanded the arrest of Sidhu and the others responsible for the release of this song. Sidhu and his parents have been apologizing for this act but seems like the religious bodies are in no mood to settle this matter for now.
