A landmark initiative to create a fully animated movie titled “Motherhood – the Journey of Mata Sahib Kaur” depicting the life of Mata Sahib Kaur Ji and her rich contributions to the Sikh nation, will hit the screens in 2019.
Mata Sahib Kaur Ji was bestowed the unique status of 'Mother of the Khalsa' by the 10th Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji. However, to this date, very little, if any, publicity has been done about Mata Sahib Kaur's prestigious role, whose name remains unrecognised outside Amritdhari families. This movie will not only highlight her significance in Sikhism but also shine on the influences of Sikh women in general.
Scenes will portray Mata Ji courageously managing the Sikh Panth after Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's departure for Sachkhand and will also show her arranging mass marriages of girls from poor families.
The brave and heroic qualities, as well as the benevolent nature of Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, are sure to captivate viewers in a way never accomplished before.
Leading this impressive venture is the production company Nihal Nihal Nihal Productions (N3 Productions), under the guidance of mukh sewadars Baba Gurbax Singh and Baba Dr Karandeep Singh from Gurdwara Sewewala Sahib, Fardikot, Punjab.
About the movie, Baba Karandeep Singh Ji states, "This movie has taken inspiration from historical granths by Kavi Santokh Singh, Dr Bhai Vir Singh and Kahan Singh Nabha, along with complementary bachans of Mahapursh such as Sant Attar Singh Ji Mastuana Wale, Sant Jwala Singh Singh Ji Harkowal wale, Sant Ajit Singh Ji Hansali Wale and Beeba Nihal Kaur Ji Sewewala wale…so much work has gone into the script to keep it as original as possible, without too many fictional scenes.”
