Lo Ji! Complaint Registered Against Making Sharry Maan The Brand Ambassador Of Swachh Bharat Campaign
Pandit Rao Dharenvar, Assistant Professor, Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11 has lodged a complaint with the Municipal Corporation Commissioner against making Punjabi singer Sharry Maan the brand ambassador for the Swachh Bharat campaign.
In the complaint, he alleged that Sharry's songs glamourised consumption of alcohol. He further stated that instead of Sharry Maan, a local artist should be made the brand ambassador for the campaign.
He suggested the name of Mani Majra-based singer Idu Sharif for the cleanliness campaign.
Notably, Jitender Yadav, MC Commissioner, had signed a pact to make Sharry Maan the brand ambassador for the cleanliness drive during Chandigarh Carnival at Leisure Valley in Sector 10.
