Patiala's Jeet Kaur (supported by Sahib Mehndi Artist) and Punjabi folk singer United Kingdom born Gurj Sidhu (supported by Angel Records) were voted the best female and male singers, respectively, in the U.K. Bhangra Awards 2017 at the luxurious Regency Banqueting Suite, Birmingham.
Gurj Sidhu earned his second award as his album --– Sentimental Value -- was adjudged the Best Album, supported by by Panoramic Moments.

Jeet Kaur hails from Jasso-Majra in the Patiala District. She completed her B.A degree at J.L.N College Mandi Gobindgarh, Master’s (Hindi literature) in Punjab University Patiala, BA degree in Education at Punjab College Chunni Klan. Jeet's inspiration of singing is Lata Mangeshkar ji and Surinder Kaur ji.
Tubsy Dholki Walla of Birmingham (UK), supported by Asian World, was presented the Best Musician Award.
Danish Punjabi singer/dancer/actress Anita Hjorth Lerche, supported by PTC Punjabi, was crowned as the Best International artist.
