Geet Brar, Pollywood's leading make-up artist, was shot dead last night at a secluded location near Star Enclave Colony in Punjab's Rajpura town. Her body was spotted by some locals who reported the matter to the police.
The deceased was found with three bullet shots, which were evidently shot at her from close range. According to the police, the shots were fired from a .32 bore revolver. During preliminary investigation, the police spotted the injuries at three different spots on her body — one on her forehead, another in her neck and the third bullet mark was seen in her chest, according to sources.
27 year old Geet Brar has worked with a lot of A-listers of Punjabi industry such as Harbhajan Mann, Ninja, Ammy Virk, Guggu Gill, Jassie Gill Karamjit Anmol, to name a few. Basically from Panjgrain village of Moga district, Geet was professionally trained in Singapore and was now settled in Chandigarh's Sector 40-C.
According to The Tribune's report, Geet, who lived in a rented accommodation, left with an unidentified man on Tuesday at 5 pm. Her mobile was switched off after 5.30 pm. The police have questioned two of her women friends. They do not rule out contract killing.
Geet was very well known amongst the Punjabi industry and since the news came afloat, the industry has been in shock and many have been offering their condolences on social media.
