Binnu Dhillon Announces His Next Titled 'Kala Shah Kala', Another Rural Setup For 2018!
Breaking the stereotype of just being a comedian, Binnu Dhillon has proved that he is much more . We are seeing him as the lead hero since last two years. After the release of his films namely Bailaras and Vekh Baratan Chaliyan, he has now announced his next home production. This one is titled 'Kala Shah Kala' and will be produced by Binnu's Naughty Men Productions.
Slated to release next summer, the shoot of this film shall commence from February 2018. The team, at the moment, is finalizing the cast of the movie. The lead hero will be Binnu Dhillon himself and the director will be Amarjit Singh, who has earlier been an associate director.
The project is majorly designed by the Punjabi film distributor Munish Sahni and talking to him about the project he revealed that, "It is an out and out comedy movie which would be a complete family entertainer. The movie is setup in the 90’s era and would have a rural backdrop."
With so many movies based on the same formula coming: Rural Backdrop+ comedy+ period movies. Don’t you think that the audience would be fed up with such movies by 2018?
Munish cleared the question by saying that the movie is an entertaining one and the audience will surely love it.
This formula has been working well in the market and all producers want to go safe with this option.
"The formula of rural backdrop + comedy+ period movies has garnered much appreciation from the overseas audience and the kind of collections we see are humongous. The recently released Nikka Zaildar 2 is also based on the same line and would be crossing 1.6 million soon in the overseas market. I think if such projects work well, then we should make such projects for the audience," he added.
Though Binnu's Bailaras couln't do much wonders at the box office, but we are surely hoping the best for his future projects.
