Citco Wants To Turn Baithak Into An Amusement Park, Tenders Floated For Outsourcing!
We've seen a lot happening at Kalagram, the main point between Chandigarh and Panchkula, which is a Citco property and many of us have always wondered ke eh jo upar restaurant aa ethe koi anda vi hai?
Since November 2015, Baithak has not seen any footfall because it has been closed down by the authorities. They did try to outsource it but their attempt went in vain. So now, Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (Citco) has again floated a tender.
The corporation has made us it's mind to outsource Baithak and wants to open an amusement part there. They have floated a tender for licensing out the entire premises - banquet hall with adjoining lawn area, kitchen open courtyard and party hall at ground floor; a restaurant with kitchen and open terrace area at first floor; and bar, open courtyard, party hall and open area of around 3,000 square feet on ground floor — at a monthly licence fee of Rs 6.25 lakhs per month plus service tax. Earlier, the licence fee was Rs 6.05 lakhs.
The corporation has asked the firms to submit their proposal for opening up of amusement theme park and food courts.
