Did You Know: Wamiqa Gabbi Has Already Debuted In Bollywood As The Lead

We told you a while ago about Wamiqa starring in Imitaz ali’s Jab We Met, as Kareena's cousin...did you happen to notice her once you knew she was in there???

Anyways, here's another piece of info for you to take note of.

The versatile Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi, whom you last saw in Nikka Zaildar 2 that released last year, has already starred in a Bollywood movie and that too as lead!

She has been doing quite a few South Indian films and has been riding hight there, but how many of you actually knew about her Bollywood debut?

In a Bollywood movie titled Sixteen, which released in the year 2013, Wamiqa played the lead role.It was a movie  where the issue of modern teenage was addressed. The movie was quite bold showing feelings like infatuation, teenage pregnancy, friendship, loyalty and dysfunctional family, and the makers showed it in a pretty elaborate manner.

Wamiqa played the role of a sixteen year old girl named Tanisha, who lives with her aunt and falls in love with a guy who stays as their tenant, and the aunt plans to tie the knot with him. The guy was Keith Sequeira, the same guy from Big Boss.

Though another fact of the movie was that Wamiqa didn’t really audition for this role. So now you are making wild guesses about how she bagged it haina?? Dimag de ghode na daudao..let us clear your doubts!

Wamiqa had auditioned for another movie under the same production house but she later got a call for this movie because the makers saw potential in her to do a strong movie like this.

Well, if you haven’t seen this movie you must watch it. This movie even got nominated for Best Ensemble Cast at Life OK Screen Awards in the year 2014.

Wamiqa Gabbi is a Punjabi girl, born and brought up in Chandigarh. Her father, Govardhan Gabbi is a Punjabi writer and her mother, Raj Kumari, an educationist.
