These Punjabi Celebrities Are Now The Brand Ambassadors Of Mission Swachh Punjab
Punjabi actors Binnu Dhillon and Jaswinder Bhalla ahve been recently announced as the brand ambassadors of the 'Mission Swacch and Swasth Punjab' programme, by Punjab water supply and sanitation minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa.
The prime motive of this programme is to make Punjab open defecation free by the end of this year. In lieu of this programme, Punjab will organise a week long awareness campaign called 'Freedom from Open Defecation' that will commence from 9th August.
Rural areas of 9 districts (Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana, Moga, SAS Nagar, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Barnala, Faridkot and SBS Nagar) have been self-declared as Open Defecation Free by Gram Panchayats and respective Deputy Commissioners.
The department of water supply and sanitation week in collaboration with school education department would organize various competitions at the district level on slogan writing, declamation contest, painting/ drawing competition and poetry writing and recitation competition in schools and colleges.
