Hae Rabba! This Wadali Singer Has Just Been Booked For Molestation
The youngest Wadali singer Yash Wadali has been booked for allegedly molesting a 39-year-old woman in Mumbai. The case was registered at Bangur Nagar police station in Malad (West) on Wednesday.
The incident took place during a party at the residence of the victim’s friend, in Goregaon. In her complaint, the woman has alleged that Wadali held her collar with an intention to molest her and he even abused her in front of her friends. Contradicting these details, Yash stated that she was too drunk to be in her senses and kept forcing him to sing a song.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The complainant, along with Yash and Nirmal visited the house of Anil Mishra - another acquaintance of the woman. The second leg of the party continued there till around 4 am.
At the second venue, the complainant said, she requested Yash Wadali to sing a song but it enraged the singer, who started shouting at her. The complainant said that Yash Wadali abused her and pulled her shirt's collar.
However, Yash Wadali refuted the allegation claiming that he was innocent.
No arrest has been made so far and further investigation into the matter is underway but Yash has already moved the Dindoshi sessions court for an anticipatory bail. He says that this case is 'frivolous' and has been filed for 'personal vendetta'.
The 27-year-old is the youngest in the family of popular Sufi singer duo- Wadali brothers and is originally named as Yash Pal Singh.
He has been booked under IPC Sections 354 and 504 by Bangur Nagar police station.
