This City In America Becomes The First To Have Punjabi Welcome Signages

Punjabis are making their culture proud in all parts of the world and after becoming the much talked language in Canada, Punjabi has now reached a new state and that too in United States Of America.

The city of Norwich in Connecticut has become the first American city to have welcome signs in Punjabi. Along with messages in Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, Italian and German, the sign now says, "Ji Aaiyan Nu", which was requested and helped by Swaranjit Khalsa and some friends from diverse groups. 

City of Norwich, Connecticut has been repeatedly recognizing Swaranjit Singh Khalsa for his community work. He is the first Sikh to get recognition at Federal,State and City level in America.

The new signages will be visible at entry points from Exit 29 of RT-2, near Backus Hospital, and also at Exit 80 at West Main Street (New Exit 11).
