The chubby British born Punjabi entrepreneur and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband, Raj Kundra, has recently come under the Pollywood limelight after he posted an image of himself with a Punjabi director-distributor duo while quoting,"What happens when a Talented Punjabi Director, A Punjabi Producer and The Finest Punjabi Distributor get together? Raj Kundra' s father was a Punjabi who migrated from Ludhiana and became a bus conductor in London before running a small business. His mother worked as a shop assistant. Kundra was born and raised in London and left school at the age of 18. In the year 2004 was ranked by SUCCESS magazine as the 198th richest British Asian. As of 2009, Kundra was Chief Executive Officer of Essential General Trading LLC, which was described in a press release as being "a Dubai-based international trading company dealing in precious metals, construction, mining and green renewable energy projects". He was also at that time involved in the financing and production of Bollywood movies.
He recently shared a picture with Rakesh Mehta (the director of Vaapsi) & Munish Sahni, and according to sources he will soon be stepping into Punjabi films but whether Shilpa will grace this industry with her presence is still unknown.
