WTF! A Congress Worker Uploads Satwinder Bitti's 'Indecent' Video, Traced & Arrested
A Congress worker, identified as Mohan Singh, was arrested by local police for allegedly uploading a defamatory video of Punjabi singer Satwinder Kaur Bitti. According to reports, Manoj uploaded the indecent video on social networking app WhatsApp, in a bid to defame the singer. Satwinder subsequently launched a police complaint, which led to the arrest of the Congress worker on Friday.
Ludhiana police has pressed charges under Indecent Representation of Women Act against Manoj, along with certain section of IT Act. The accused is currently under police custody, where the interrogation is underway.
According to Satwinder, Manoj uploaded her indecent video as an act of revenge. The rivalry between the duo dates back to the recent Punjab assembly elections, when Congress decided to field the popular singer as the candidate from Sahnewal instead of Manoj, Satwinder alleged.
Manoj had uploaded the video of Satwinder on Wednesday. Subsequently, he turned untraceable with his cell phone switched off. As soon as he switched on his cell phone on Friday, the Ludhiana police tracked him through his phone IP.
