This year the BMO International Film Festival of South Asia, BMO IFFSA Toronto, the largest of its kind in North America, brings together more than 100 films from across the Indian sub-continent. From the vivacious Bollywood-style films that families love, to independent arthouse productions that explore South Asia's fascinating history as well as contemporary stories from a land where cultures have collided for five thousand years, IFFSA offers festival goers a journey as diverse as the region itself.
Celebrate Canada's historic birthday in seven cities across the GTA where you can meet some of Bollywood's biggest stars, and rising young talent—come watch the mystery and wonder of South Asia from May 11th to May 22nd.

BMO IFFSA Toronto is THE LARGEST SOUTH ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL IN NORTH AMERICA. In its 6th year now, the festival has become an international icon and the voice of South Asian cinema in Canada. This 12+ day extravaganza showcases a diverse, language independent, selection of the best feature films, documentaries and short films from around the world, on themes of South Asian cultures and identities. In the spirit of “VasudhaivaKutumbakam – the world is one family”, a select number of foreign films are considered under Beyond South Asia segment.
In addition, the festival also features concerts, gala events, lounge parties, seminars, workshops and networking opportunities with government representatives, business leaders, local organizations that support film development, film stars, producers, directors, members of the media and more.
IFFSA Toronto 2017 will be held from May 11 to 22, 2017 in Ontario, Canada as part of South Asian Heritage Month celebrations. Various launch events and buzz activities will take place during the month of April, 2017. Exciting and glamorous events have been planned at various pristine and prestigious venues across GTA including cities of Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Milton, and Oakville.
Over the years, IFFSA Toronto has grown to become a festival of festivals and transformed into an institution with year around operations.
