Jonita Doda is back with Heer unstoppable, a short Punjabi film showing the plight of women who has to face the evil of her society.
Jonita being the lead character Heer, shared some exclusive inside details about the short film.
She said that the movie is about those Punjabis who are always lured about migrating to foreign lands but the world that side is gloomy and not as beautiful as shown.
The movie revolves around Heer, who is forced to go to a foreign land. Being a vivacious girl, she has dreams and fights hard to achieve them. It also showcases the plight of those who get married to NRIs without their background check.
She said that the story of this short film is real and very relatable. These incidents have happened a lot in Punjab and therefore, Heer would pose as an eye opener for many.
This woman oriented film is currently in the making and Jonita is pretty optimistic about it.

When we asked her why she didn’t opt for a full length film on such a topic, she said, "I would be doing one soon in the coming months but for now I have "Heer unstoppable” for the audience. A short film with a meaningful story to touch your hearts."
