The Punjabi singer Jaspreet Singh aka Jass Bajwa gained fame in the music world after his debut album ‘Chakvi Mandeer’. In a short span of time, Bajwa gained popularity and his other songs like ‘Nose Pin’, ‘Feem Di Dalli’, ‘Kismat’, ‘Tolla’, ‘Veham Jatt Da, ‘Gabru Ni Bolda’ and ‘Tera Time’ among others, became instant hits among the youth.
Nowadays, it has almost become a cycle that once a Punjabi singer is famous, he starts acting in films as well. The singer turned actor with the 2017 release ‘Thug Life’. The story, which revolves around four friends who run a successful scheme of duping rich people to earn quick money, but, soon adversity hits when they are mistaken as terrorists. But this was just the beginning, after ‘Thug Life (2017)’, Bajwa partook in another film i.e. Ishan Chopra’s ‘Doorbeen (2019)’. In this one, he played the character of ‘Ranjeet’, a police officer while the leads were played by Ninja and Wamiqa Gabbi. The story of this film was about a man, Shinda who hails from a small village in Punjab and looks for newer and smarter ways of smuggling liquor while also wooing the woman he is in love with.
