Surilie Jasraj, who is best known for her role Geet in the tv serial Meet Mila De Rabba (2008), is all set to come back to the Punjabi big screen as the lead face, with Rana Ranbir's second directorial 'Posti'. Not many know that Surilie was just 17, a class 12th student when she bagged this life-changing role.
Her debut film as a lead was Powercut, opposite her real-life husband Jasraj Bhatti. This 2012 release was Late Jaspal Bhatti's last directorial.
Daughter of well known Punjabi director Mukesh Gautam, Surilie is the younger sibling of Bollywood actress Yami Gautam. The sister duo was last year in the news for a Rajkumar Santoshi film on the battle of Saragarhi but the film has reportedly been shelved. Surilie was to pair up with Randeep Hooda in the film.
Talking about her Pollywood comeback, Posti will be released on 20th March 2020. The film is directed and penned by Rana Ranbir who stepped into the world of direction with the critically acclaimed film 'Asees'. Produced by Humble Motion Pictures, this one has Surilie Jasraj and Babbal Rai in lead roles.
