Laavaan Phere Trailer Review : Masters Of Comedy Hog The Limelight While The Lead Pair Struggles To Gain Attention
The trailer of Smeep Kang’s Laavaan Phere is out and here it is for you to watch. Below is our review of the trailer.
Starring Rubina Bajwa and Roshan Prince as the lead pair, 'Laavaan Phere' is an out and out comedy and Director Smeep Kang aces this genre.
This movie seems to be a story where the characters played by Rubina and Roshan are in love but Rubina’s father( played by B.N Sharma) has his own terms for the wedding which are quite quirky but the twist comes in when the Jija Gang attacks. The Jija gang is full of pro-comedians of Punjab -Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol and Harby Sangha. This Jija Gang brings out their own terms and then the fun part starts.
Talking about the trailer, though Roshan and Rubina are in the main lead but my attention was completely grabbed by B.N Sharma, Karamjit Anmol , Harby Sangha and Gurpreet Ghuggi. These masters of comedy have overshadowed the lead couple in the trailer. But we'd surely want to see whether same is the case in the movie.
The story line looks fun and this film seems to be a family entertainer wherein the entire family can sit together and have a hearty laugh. My concern after watching the trailer is the story, it should be strong enough to support such comedians because slapstick comedy and one punchline after the other trend has been prevalant in Punjabi movies since long but this seems to not work anymore.
It is a pleasure to watch this funny trailer and looks like February would be better than January as the trailer reviews that we have done of the movies releasing in January 2018 have been a thumbs down. But Laavaan Phere does excite me and I think this will be the first Punjabi movie in 2018 that I would be watching in the theatre .
The movie releases on 9th February 2018.
