Team Subedar Joginder Singh Stuck Amidst Adverse Weather Conditions After Reported Landslide In Zojila Pass!

By: Gurleen | November 8, 2017

In a recent LIVE session by Gippy Grewal, we got to know that the lead cast of Subedar Joginder Singh is currently stuck amidst extreme weather conditions due to a landslide in Zojila Pass, about 110 kilometers north of Srinagar.

United, the team is currently in Sonmarg, waiting for clearance to go ahead to Dras, where the shoot is currently underway. The team, comprising of Gippy Grewal, Kulwinder Billa, Jaggi Singh and Rajvir Jawanda, flew to Srinagar today to reach Dras for completion of their schedule of Subedar Joginder Singh. The call time being 8 AM, they hurriedly took to road for reaching their destination but due to drastic weather conditions, they had no other option but to halt at Sonmarg.

According to Gippy, "This is something that I've never experienced in my life. Such extreme weather conditions and dangerous incidents are yet another proof that our team is defying all odds to complete this biopic in it's truest form. Making biopics are not easy, one needs to get the real essence of a person's life and that's the reason why all of us are putting in our sweat and blood for this project. For us all, this has been a life changing experience and we really look forward to getting blessings from everyone around the world."

THIS IS WHAT GIPPY SAID DURING HIS LIVE SESSION

On the other hand, the other team comprising of Karamjit Anmol and Roshan Prince, was also on their way to the shoot location and had reached Delhi to board their flights for Srinagar but due to unfavourable weather conditions, the actors could not reach their destination.

CHALLENGES DURING SHOOT AT DRAS

The production team has been putting in a lot of effort to make available all the facilities at Dras, which in itself is a challenge. For those who don't know, Dras is the second coldest inhabited place in the world and keeping up with the landslides, sandstorms, extreme cold and adverse living conditions, is in itself a task and not many film makers dare to indulge into such shoot schedules. Seeing the hard work and dedication being put into this project, we'd like to say that hats off to team Joginder Singh for bearing so much and putting in this level of energy into the film and we're eagerly waiting to see the final output, which we are sure would be a proof that Punjabi Cinema can do wonders, if the vision and dedication of the team is as strong as this one.

Let's all pray for this team's well being...Waheguru!
