Veteran actor Arun Bali known for his roles in several superhit Hindi - Punjabi films and daily soaps passed away in Mumbai today at the age of 79.
Bali was diagnosed with a rare-long term neuromuscular disease Myasthenia Gravis after which he was admitted to a hospital. The illness took a toll on him and he was frequently in and out of the hospital. While talking to a leading daily, his son, Ankush Bali told, “My father left us. He was suffering from Myasthenia gravis. He had mood swings for two-three days. He told the caretaker he wanted to go to the washroom and after coming out he told him he wanted to sit down and he never got up then”

For the unversed, Arun Bali was born in Jalandhar in 1942 who made his TV debut in the year 1989 with ‘Doosra Kewal’.
Apart from numerous TV shows and Bollywood films, Bali also featured in some of the Punjabi films including, ‘Munde U.K. De’, ‘Punjab 1984’, ‘Punjab Singh’ and others.
