G Khan Apologizes After Being Alleged Of Hurting Religious Sentiments

Popular Punjabi singer G Khan had engulfed himself in a controversy after he was alleged of hurting religious sentiments following which a legal complaint was also filed against him.

Now, recently taking to his social media handle, the singer has shared a video where he can be seen apologising for his act. In the video, the singer stated that he had started off his show in Janakpuri, Ludhiana with devotional songs only. It was only after the audience’s request he sang such songs. As G Khan apologised, several artists from the industry including Ninja, Garry Sandhu and others came in support of the singer. The artists taking to their respective social media handles requested netizens to forgive G Khan for hurting their religious sentiments as it was totally unintentional. For the unversed, a few days back a legal complaint was filed against G Khan by Shiv Sena leader, Amit Arora for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. In the complaint filed against the singer, it was alleged that the singer despite performing at a religious event performed songs like ‘Pegg Mote Mote’ and ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’. He had even stated that such songs promote liquor consumption and vulgarity. He had told police the singer and organisers of the event hurt religious sentiments.

Following the complaint, FIR wasn’t lodged but reportedly, the Divison number 2 police had initiated an investigation.
