Kudos to the actor who never let such commotion in his personal life affect his performance in the film.

Sonu was seen playing the role of gangster Lakhan, ‘Lucky Singh’ where Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif were scene as the lead cast. The film was released in 2008, less than a year after his mother’s passing away.

Many of you might not be knowing but Sonu’s mother was involved in charity work who also inspired him to do the same. Sonu confesses the void that his mother has left can never be fulfilled but today he gets to meet his mother’s students from all over the world for which she never took the money. “If a student did not come to her class, she would get me to pick up my scooter and go with her to that child's house in the village around Moga to ensure he came out to study as the farmers would suddenly stop sending their children.”, he had recalled in the interview.

Heart-touching!

Well, it is a sheer respect towards his parents that Sonu has established a production house, ‘Shakti Sagar Productions’, after his father’s name who had left for his heavenly abode in February 2016.
