A couple of days back it was reported that popular lyricist Jaani has been receiving death threats from ‘anti-social’ elements following which his family has left the nation. Following which the lyricist had written a request letter to the CM Bhagwant Mann, ADGP (Security) Punjab Police and SSP Mohali requesting permanent security cover with adequate arms for his team. However, recently, Jaani’s manager Dilraj Singh Nandha has shared a video on his social media as such news surfaced, clarifying the facts related to the threat calls which the lyricist has received. Also Read : Daaro: Amardeep Gill Announces His Debut Web Series
Dilraj has stated that they had received the first threat call back in 2021 which they ignored thinking it being a hoax call. Another call they had received in April earlier this year following which they had given a written application to the Punjab Govt.
After the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, they thought of taking this issue quite seriously and gave another written application to the Chief Minister of Punjab demanding security for them and their families. It has also been revealed by the manager that they have not received any call ever since then.
It is important to mention here that request letter submitted to the govt officials had also gone viral on the internet. In the letter, it was stated that the lyricist and his manager, Dilraj Singh Nandha had received the threat calls so many times from anti-social elements and the same matter was also discussed with the SP, Mohali, State Administration, SAS Nagar (Mohali) and that he has always followed the instructions of Punjab Police in the matter.
