Out of all the one-time actresses in the Punjabi industry, the name Navneet Kaur Rana is undoubtedly the most controversial. The actress turned politician’s name can invariably be seen popping up in the headlines, however, today Rana is the topic of discussion owing to her work in P-town!
Although Rana was born and brought up in Mumbai, her parents are of Punjabi origin. Not just this, she has mostly worked in South Indian cinema. Rana made her feature film debut in ‘Darshan’, a Kannada film followed by her debut in Telugu with ‘Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi (2004)’. Then ‘Chetna (2005)’, ‘Jagapathi (2005)’, ‘Good Boy (2005)’, and ‘Bhuma (2008)’ are some of her subsequent releases.
Buut coming back to her debut in Punjabi film, Rana was a part of the 2010 film ‘Lad Gaya Pecha’. The actress played the role of ‘Lovely’ in this Gurpreet Ghuggi starrer. Directed by Anmol Arora, the film casts Amrit, Shoma Anand, Rana Jung Bahadur, Gopi Bhalla, Ashwani Bhardwaj, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Alisha Grewal Khan, Pritti, Navneet Rana and others.
The story of the film revolves around a man who is trying to get married but tries to kill himself after he falls in love with a ghost. At the same time, he is also in love with another human being.
