The B-Town Star Helen Has Acted In A Punjabi Film Too!

In the past when the Punjabi film industry was still in its early stages, it did not have its own actors and actresses, instead, it was the ones pursuing a career in Bollywood who traveled back and forth to partake in Punjabi films too! Among all those, did you know that Helen also tried her hand at Punjabi films?

Helen has also received accolades including two Filmfare Awards and a Padma Shri. She is one of the most popular nautch (a popular court dance performed by girls in older times) dancers of her time. Moreover, she has also been the inspiration for four films and a book.

Coming back to the topic, not many know that this multitalented actress has been a part of one Punjabi film! Can you guess which one was it?

The story of the film features a young couple from Italy while on their honeymoon. They go to the coast of Malta where they find not only a paradise but also a personal hell. While they are out shopping for some wine to take back to their villa, they discover that they aren't as compatible as they think. The wife goes off in an opposite direction in order to clear her head. In a series of hilarious events, the couple tries to deny that they love each other while it is clear that the chemistry is still present. This film contains adult themes.
