There are umpteen actresses, who enter the Punjabi film industry with a hope to be the Pollywood queen but alas! only a few stay. Though this industry gives more attention to the male artists, there are certain actresses who have etched their names as the leading ladies of this industry. She is the queen of Punjabi cinema, who resides in the hearts of millions of people. Though she was born and brought up in Canada, her passion for acting brought her to India. She started her career with a Bollywood film, Main Solan Baras Ki’.
During her initial years in the glamour world, she was seen in various music videos, reality shows and soap operas. Her Punjabi debut was marked by Asa Nu Maan Watna Da. Her performances in movies like Dil Apna Punjabi’, ‘Munde U.K. De’, ‘Heer Ranjha’, ‘Mel Karade Rabba’, ‘Akh Labdi’, ‘Jihne Mera Dil Luteya’, ‘Miley Naa Miley Hum’, ‘Pata Nahi Rabb Kehdeyan Rangan Ch Raazi’ made her a leading lady in the Punjabi industry.
With the release of Jatt and Juliet, her career saw a turning point. The movie received a remarkable response and Neeru’s fame graph touched heights of success. The green eyed beauty and much celebrated actress, Priti Sapru, reigned the Punjabi Cinema during her acting days. She kick started her career at a very young age. She has worked in quite many Hindi and Punjabi movies as main lead as well as supporting actress.
A few of her hits include, Nimmo, Yaari Jatt Di, Aasra Pyaar da among others. She has also directed a few Punjabi movies like ‘Qurbani Jatt Di’. Preeti Sapru was honoured by President Pranab Mukherji, at the centenary celebrations of Indian cinema. One of the noted actresses of her time, Rama Vij, has some of the most commendable movies to her credit, both from Bollywood and Pollywood.
Talking about the Punjabi film industry, she had shot to fame with her roles in the movies like Chann Pardesi, Gabroo Punjab Da, Kachehri. Apart from that, she has been a part of theatre and television.
The charming, dimpled girl of Pollywood started her career with a television serial, Kareena Kareena. Kulraj gained immense popularity with that show and soon made her Pollywood debut with the movie, Mannat.

The audiences were mesmerised by her charm and highly appreciated her acting. After the success of her debut movie, she bagged a role opposite Gippy Grewal in the movie, Mirza- The Untold Story. Sonam always had a dream to become Miss India. To fulfill this desire, she participated in Femina Miss India 2012, where she reached the final round but could not bag the title.

Her first movie was Ambarsariya followed by Kaptaan and Sardaarji 2. She achieved much recognition in a short span and is totally geared up for more.
Navneet Kaur Dhillon
She is young, dynamic and much beyond just a pretty face. Former Miss India, Navneet Dhillon aspires to become the best actress in Bollywood and Pollywood.
After fulfilling her dream of winning the beauty pageant, she went on to try her hand in acting. In 2016, she made her acting debut in Bollywood with Loveshhuda and later in Pollywood with Ambarsariya. at the very onset of her career, she has become a known face in both the industries.
Sargun was highly passionate about acting since her college days. She was an active part of theatre. Her passion brought her to Mumbai where she started her career with television shows.
