Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Jaswant Singh Khalra’ Lands In Trouble As A Man Threatens To Commit Suicide On The Sets

Diljit Dosanjh had recently announced that he will star in the biopic of ‘Jaswant Singh Khalra’ but as per the latest reports, the film seems to have fallen in trouble as a man threatens to commit suicide on the sets in Amritsar.

Actually, a few days back Diljit Dosanjh had shared a post on his social media handle officially making an announcement of his next Bollywood project based on the life of Indian human rights activist, Jaswant Singh Khalra where the wife of Jaswant, Paramjit Kaur Khalra had given permission to Honey Trehan and his team for making biopic on his life. But now in the latest developments, a source close to the unit has revealed that a group of Sikhs have protested against Diljit for playing the role of Jaswant Singh Khalra as they consider him to be impious for the role. Infact, one of the sikh member has even threatened Diljit that if he continues the shoot for the film, he will commit suicide. Furthermore, it has been revealed that makers will now take special orders from the court to continue the shoot with peace and harmony. Makers have asserted that Jaswant’s story is considered to be an important story as he was a hero for his people and his journey is something which needs to be told to people to inspire them. Reportedly, Diljit had requested and assured the proetstors that he will play the role of Jaswant with utmost faith and honesty, thus, they should let him shoot. However, he was denied shooting stating that he is ‘videshi’ and is ‘westernised’ and so they do not want him to play the role of martyr.

Now, after getting the special permission makers will continue the shoot in Chandigarh rather than Amritsar as group of Sikhs do not want them to continue the shoot in their city.
