Flop Show

‘Flop Show’ was a 10 episode sitcom that aired on Doordarshan in 1989. The show was written, directed and conceptualized by Bhatti himself. Apart from Bhatti, ‘Flop Show’ had names like Vivek Shauk, BN Sharma, Savita Bhatti, Rajesh Jolly in the star cast. The show was a dig at the existing socio-cultural problems of that era with a pinch of comedy and satire. Will surely cause you to laugh!


Mahaul Theek Hai

The 1999 movie was produced, written and directed by Jaspal Bhatti himself. The 2-hour long movie was a comical take on the Indian policing system in which Jaspal Bhatti played the role of antagonist. Names like Raj Babbar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Jaswinder Bhalla, Navin Nischol were part of the movie ‘Mahaul Theek Hai’. Definitely worth watching! Power Cut

This 2012 movie was, unfortunately, the last movie of Jaspal Bhatti. The veteran passed away just a day before its release. The movie carried a hard-hitting message on the issue of power cut and the corruption in this arena. Along with Bhatti, actors like Prem Chopra, Savita Bhatti, Jaswinder Bhalla, and BN BN Sharma also played crucial roles in the movie. Do watch this one!


Full Tension

Full Tension was yet another sitcom that was written, produced and directed by Jaspal Bhatti which covered issues like media, politics, education, and health. The series stretched to 11 episodes and this time Jaspal Bhatti was accompanied by the same star cast of Flop Show. The show was aired on Doordarshan in the year of 1995. Ulta Pulta
