Shweta Tiwari Has Worked In The Punjabi Industry Too?

Shweta Tiwari is a prominent face in the Hindi film and television industry. Tiwari set foot in the industry in 1999 and since then, she has gained an immense amount of popularity. However, most of her career is focused around Hindi-language projects and not many are aware that she has featured in a Punjabi song too!

Yes, you read it right! Well, the song in question is distinguished singer Gurdas Maan’s ‘Makhna’. This romantic song was released in 2017 under the label of ‘Saga Music’. As aforementioned, Shweta Tiwari has an extensive list of her works under her belt. To tell you more, Shweta gained popularity from her role as the main lead ‘Prerna Sharma Bajaj’ in Ekta Kapoor's soap opera ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2001–08)’ and subsequently featured in several other television series including ‘Parvarrish (2011–13)’, ‘Begusarai as Bindiya Thakur (2015–16)’ and ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan (2019–20)’. After that she even participated and won the reality shows ‘Bigg Boss 4 (2010–11)’ and ‘Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur (2011)’. Coming to film, Tiwari has not just done films in Hindi but even Nepali, Bhojpuri, Kannada, Marathi, Urdu and Punjabi!

She has taken part in just one Punjabi film which is— ‘Apni Boli Apna Des’ which is a 2009 drama film. The film is directed by Ravindra Peepat and casts Sarbjit Cheema, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Raj Babbar, Upasana Singh and many others along with Tiwari.
