The Punjabi actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu passed away in a tragic car accident on the evening of 15th February 2022. This turn of events shook the whole Punjabi industry.

To tell you more about the incident, Sidhu was traveling with his girlfriend, actress Reena Rai whom he celebrated Valentine’s Day with. The couple was traveling from Delhi to Punjab when the car got hit. The location they were found at is Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) highway near Sonipat. The accident is alleged to have taken place at around 8.30 pm. As per the police, the incident was reported around 9 pm near Peepli toll booth on the KMP, in Haryana’s Kharkhoda area. Both of them were traveling in a Scorpio when his vehicle rammed into the rear of a truck.

Sonipat Police confirmed that Sidhu died during the accident. However, Reena Rai was saved thanks to airbags (the safety feature). Everyone has been shaken by the sudden demise of the beloved actor. Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi tweeted, “Deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate demise of renowned actor and social activist, #DeepSidhu. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family and fans.”
