Actress Kimi Verma who has done various prominent roles in Punjabi films has now been awarded a ‘Certificate of Recognition’ from the State Senate of California!
For the unversed, Kimi began her career in 1994 with a role in the film ‘Naseebo’, followed by a number of notable Punjabi-language films like ‘Qahar (1997)’, ‘Jee Aayan Nu (2002)’, ‘Asa Nu Maan Watna Da (2004)’ and ‘Mera Pind- My Home (2008)’. She even won the title of ‘Miss Bombay’ and the ‘Femina Miss India Beautiful Hair’ title in 1994. However, after completing her MBA from Bombay University, Kimi moved to Los Angeles, California and currently resides there. She owns a woman’s fashion house and is the Lead Designer and CEO of the company.
The actress and businesswoman uploaded the certificate which mentions that Kimi received this award for acting as “inspiration for women through the region and beyond”!
