One half of the musical duo Kray Twinz, Jaz Singh (real name Jasbir Singh Hayer) passed away on the afternoon of 19 October 2021. The family revealed that Singh had been battling covid-19 and spent four weeks in hospital, where he was supported medically.

The Kray Twinz solo debut release was ‘What We Do’ which also featured Twista, Lethal Bizzle and Gappy Ranks. They went on to create music for EA Sports’ Fight Night, which was nominated for Best Video Game Soundtrack at the 2006 VMA’s, and they have worked with names such as DMX, Sting, and Jay-Z.
Singh’s last huge release came in 2012 for Bollywood film 'Cocktail', with Second Hand Jawani – the film featured a star-studded cast of Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan. Also Read: Parmod Rana Hospitalised? Why??
Singh’s family shared the news on social media platforms saying, “Thank you to everyone who has been sending their love, we appreciate you all during this difficult time

Born in a Punjabi family, Jaz and his brother used their voice not just for music but also against racial discrimination and police brutality. Singh is survived by his wife and at least one child – the Twinz are known for keeping their personal lives out of the spotlight.
