Popular legendary actor Kesavan Venugopal Nair, fondly known as Nedumudi Venu passed away on October 11, Monday afternoon at the age of 73.
Reportedly, the actor developed uneasiness on Sunday after which he was rushed to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. He was even undergoing treatment for various ailments after recovering from Covid-19 and breathed his last by noon. The actor was born to Kesavan Pillai and P Kunjikkuttiyamma in Nedumudi, Alappuzha as one of their five children. He made his debut in the film industry in 1978 in the drama film, ‘Thampu’ which was directed by G Aravindan. Also Read : Dev Kharoud Announces Yet Another Sequel ‘Blackia 2’!
He has acted in over 500 films, predominantly in Malayalam and Tamil. He is also the winner of three National Film Awards and six Kerala State Film Awards.
Recently, he lent his voice to a 90-second video song in which he had spread a social message that all should stand together and fight the coronavirus by listening to the guidelines. The song had gone viral after it was uploaded on the social media pages of Kerala Police with netizens sharing it within hours.
