Karan Aujla, Harjit Harman and Speed Records have been summoned by the Punjab State Women Commission in regard to his song ‘Sharab’ in his forthcoming album ‘BacTHAfucUP’. A case has been filed by Social Activist Pandit Rao, while Manisha Gulati, the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission has made a complaint.
The issue brought up is that the song ‘Sharab’ has misleading remarks about women by comparing them to alcohol. Rao, who is often seen raising his voice against the Punjabi songs glorifying violence, weapons, alcohol and not abiding by the rules, had already taken a dig at the duo earlier, regarding the same song.
