Legendary athelete champion Milkha Singh, aged 91, was tested for Covid 19 on May 20 after which he was admitted at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Now, updating on his current health condition an official statement from Hospital says “He is stable and presently on low flow oxygen and medical management”.
Infact, his son, Jeev Milkha Singh also shared a video thanking everyone for the good wishes for his father and called him a ‘fighter’ and wrote, “Just wanted to thank everyone for the outpouring of good wishes that have poured in for my dad. He is in great spirits and receiving wonderful care and I am sure he will be the Flying Sikh he has always been very soon. Jai Hind”.
Reportedly, the Olympian is said to have contracted the virus from a staff member at his residence. However, other family members had tested negative, while Milkha’s RT-PCR test came out positive. Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, provided a home attendant and oxygen facility.
