Mansi Sharma, the new mom, had sky-high TRPS with her show Choti Sarrdaarni which was equally popular and successful for Colors TV. Now that the shoot for TV shows has been given a nod by Maharashtra government, a fresh update has reached us. It has been reported that Drishtii Garewal has bagged the show now!
A popular Punjabi actress Drishtii was last seen in Muklawa which got a very positive reviews for her character. Also seen in films like Romeo Ranjha (2014), Hard Kaur (2017), Jindari (2018), and more, Drishtii will also be seen in the remake of Punjabi cult classic Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai.
According to reports, Garewal has replaced Simran Sachdeva in the show. Simran had bagged the show after Mansi's left due to her health issues during pregnancy. The role of Harleen, Sarabjit's (Avinesh Rekhi) elder sister landed in Simran's kitty who then took it ahead. But it seems like now, the team has found a new face for the character which required a lot of poise and maturity. The character's aura is remarkable.
A source close to the development revealed, “There were many reasons that brought about this change. And considering that the shoot will rollback, things had to be in place before the process kickstarts.”
