We shared with you an update a while ago about Sunanda Sharma's apology letter and now, we bring for you another apology letter that not just came as a big surprise but the last line even made us giggle.
In an apology letter to Pandit Rao Dhanevar, Sidhu Moosewala's mother Charan Kaur, who was recently elected the Sarpanch of Moosa village stated that my son will not sing songs that have provocative lyrics. She mentioned that the song in question 'Jatt Us Pind Nu Belong Karda' was sung by him nearly one and a half year before she was elected the Sarpanch and since the day she has been elected, she has been constantly advising him to stay away from such songs.
She further said that after my election, nor has my son sung any provocative songs nor will he do so in the future. The last line in the letter read "He will sing Baba Nanak's songs" (wonder what songs babaji sung...as the 'songs' we believe are rightly termed as Gurbani)
All this has happened because Professor Dhanevar is on a spree to get Punjabi singers out of the guns, gangsters, alcohol and other objectionable culture and get them back to more dignified Punjabi music. He had actually filed a complaint against Sidhu Moosewala's mother Charan Kaur and had demanded answers to a few questions that were mentioned in his complaint.
The questions were:
The complaint was addressed to the Director of Rural Development And Panchayats Department, SAS Nagar, Mohali. Click HERE to read the full complaint.
The apology letter was handed over to Pandit Rao today. He shared an update on his social media page and quoted "ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਚਰਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੋ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਮੂਸੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਭੜਕਾਊ ਗਾਣੇ ਨਹੀ ਗਾਉਣਗੇ... Baba Nanak di Bani gaawugaa Sidhu Mosewala.."
The man has really got on the nerves of many Punjabi singers who have been earning millions by singing such controversial songs. Let's see who is next to apologize.
