Have a look at the trailer and then read our take on it :

Review: The story of Muklawa is about Ammy Virk's character who eagerly awaits the homecoming of his bride. The trailer opens with Ammy Virk wanting to see his bride's face during the time when his elder brother gets his wife home. Both the brothers are seemingly married to real sisters.

For those who don't know, Muklawa is the tradition where the wife finally leaves her parents' house and goes to her in-laws home for good. In the film, Ammy is seen to be annoyed by the fact that his waiting time is one full year. His tryst to see his wife's face at least once gets him into trouble and that's when the story turns.

The story seems to be quite amusing. Many couples from rural Punjab would relate to this story especially those who have seen those times when getting their own bride home was a task in itself. Ammy Virk looks handsome and we must compliment him on his pro acting skills. He does it all effortlessly. We have seen him doing the rural Punjabi munda quite often and he has aced it each time but this time, his lingo seems to be crisper. Sonam Bajwa looks endearing and quite convincing in her role. The veteran actors are also performing well. It would be interesting to watch how Director Simerjit has used all the good elements in this movie.

The bonus point in the trailer is that they have shown quite a bit of the storyline yet the climax is left untouched. The romantic – comedy genre is quite overused in the Punjabi film industry but having this genre with such a different storyline will benefit the makers. The soundtrack of the movie is interesting and hummable.

Overall, Muklawa, from the trailer, looks like a novel and audience-friendly attempt by the makers. We are surely excited about this one.
