After the lover boy act in Jagdeep Sidhu's Qismat, Ammy Virk is all set to play a fighter jet pilot in Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj The Pride Of India. Written and directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film is based on true events and will tell one of the most interesting war stories.
Ammy Virk is surely climbing the ladder of success at a fast pace. The Punjabi singer-actor was in news for making his debut in Bollywood this year with Kabir Khan’s 83 and now this man has signed another big Bollywood flick. Bhuj The Pride Of India is a film based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Ammy's role is of one of the vital characters of this multi starrer. The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-series and Select media Holding LLP. Actor Ajay Devgan will helm the role of Squadron leader Vijay Karnik, actress Parineeti Chopra will be seen as Heena Rehman. The movie also has Sanjay Dutt, Rana Duggabatti and Sonakshi Sinha.
This film celebrates the courage of 300 women of Madhapur in Gujarat who played a pivotal role in India's victory in the Indo Pak war which happened in 1971.

It would be interesting to watch Ammy playing such strong roles in the starting of his career in Bollywood. His turbaned look is surely working for him in B-town because he is getting roles which suit his personality. While we see many actors and actresses trying their hands in Bollywood but few are as lucky as him who get one big movie after another. But one thing that crosses our mind after seeing this progress is - "Is Ammy a more affordable substitute of Diljit in B-town now?"
